Building upon the success of the last two years for an even more spectacular celebration, Hecho en México 2017 (Made in Mexico) is destined to highlight the fabulous customs and vibrant traditions that make Mexico one of the most colorful and festive countries in the world.

Join us this May for the 3rd edition of Hecho en México and immerse yourself in a culture that is rich in music, cuisine, art, dancing and crafts. The annual cultural event is dedicated to all things Mexican, inviting guests at Hotel Mousai to enjoy the wares of selected Mexican artisans in the Lobby at Garza Blanca Resort & Spa each weekend throughout May as wells as a special Mexican Festival that will take place on Saturday May 20th. There will also be a renowned chef from Mexico who will be joining in the festivities.

Join us for our Mexican Festival on Saturday May 20th

From 6pm until 10pm on Saturday May 20th, guests at Hotel Mousai are invited to join in the fun at a special Mexican festival to honor Mexico’s roots, where tickets include drinks and a tasty Mexican buffet. Our guest of honor, fashion designer Maria Rosario Mendoza, will showcase her Takasami collection, which exudes authentic Mexican flare and artistry while local performers including pre-Hispanic musicians, mariachi, dancing horses and a traditional Mexican lasso performer (charro lazo) will bring you the heart and soul of traditional Mexico. Educational documentaries about the history of Puerto Vallarta and Mexico will also be projected.

($650 pesos – tickets include a delicious Mexican buffet and drinks)

Weekend Cultural Expos

Each weekend throughout May there will be an exposition of local fare, crafts and art in the Lobby at Garza Blanca Resort & Spa, which is open for Hotel Mousai guests to enjoy. Products providing an insight into Mexico’s artisan culture will feature such as mezcal, tequila, Mexican wine, chocolate, cigars, pottery, folk art, jewelry and finger painting.
