As in previous years, Hotel Mousai and its acclaimed chefs will be taking part in the festival and hosting guest chefs at the resort’s restaurants. Furthermore, on November 12th, a special event is planned to take place on the beach from 6.30pm to 9pm where a delectable feast and live music will welcome guests. The event will offer a selection of avant garde Mexican cuisine, Japanese delicacies and succulent cuts complemented by tequila, mezcal, sake and fine wines.  Sweet-toothed foodies will also find cause for excitement as seven talented chefs will be attending seven mouthwatering stations for you to savor.

History of the Festival

Established in 1995 by visionary chefs, Thierry Blouet and Heinz Reize, the annual Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festival was designed to promote the region’s thriving gourmet scene and provide a platform for experimentation and celebration of the culinary arts. The festival usually takes place in November each year and involves a number of fine dining restaurants and hotels throughout Puerto Vallarta as well as special events. The idea is that local chefs work alongside celebrated international names to learn new techniques and encourage chefs to embrace their creativity.

Since the festival’s first days, when only a handful of independent restaurants and hotels were involved, the event has grown enormously. To date, the events has hosted more than 500 guest chefs to delight the palates of almost half a million foodies. Why not add your knife and fork to these statistics and join us in November?
