Hiroshi, the stunning gourmet Japanese restaurant located at Hotel Mousai, is gearing up for 2017’s presentation of OMAKASE, a celebration of fine Japanese cuisine.  This year’s event will wow diners with its chef’s table experience.  Following last year’s OMAKASE debut, which was received with enormous success, diners will again be able to indulge their palates with an extraordinary dining experience during alternate weekends in the months of July and August 2017.

Giving the Reins to the Chef

As a term in Japanese culture that refers to a special meal left up to the whims of the chef, an “omakase” dining experience includes multiple courses carefully thought out by the chef to gratify the taste buds of every diner fortunate enough to be present.  With this year’s OMAKASE chef’s table experience, Hiroshi will host its own version of this distinctive style of dining when a prestigious chef will grace the kitchen every two weeks to put their own unique spin on the concept.  Both hotel guests and local residents will be able to treat themselves to a sensational meal featuring multiple courses that will impress even the most discerning foodies with this rare opportunity in Puerto Vallarta to celebrate the many flavors of Japanese cuisine.

Masters of Japanese Cuisine

Hiroshi is set to welcome four various guest chefs who will showcase their tremendous culinary skills Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings every other week during the months of July and August 2017.  There is no doubt that the talents of each chef (all of whom are visiting from prominent Japanese eateries in the U.S.) will amaze and delight those lucky enough to dine on their creations.

Hiroshi’s Chef Carlos Leyva is excited to team up with visiting chefs who will be sharing their masterful knowledge about Japanese fare to design menus that will ensure 2017’s OMAKASE is a great success.  Prepare yourself for an unparalleled level of feasting when you join in the delicious fun at OMAKASE, where scrumptious flavors and culinary innovation will collide!

This year’s OMAKASE dates are as follows:

Chef Hiroshi Shima: July 6 – July 8

Chef Mitsuo Endo:  July 20 – July 22

Chef Sunny Oh: August 3 – August 5

Chef Oscar Gonzalez: August 17 – August 19

 Specials to Complement the regular menu

Besides Hiroshi’s regular menu, the restaurant will also be offering other tasty dishes dreamed up by each visiting chef for a short period of time (served each Thursday through to the following Wednesday).  That means that even if you are unable to make it for OMAKASE on the selected dates, you can still enjoy some of the new flavors that the guest chef has presented any day of the week!

Kicking off on Thursday, July 6th, 2017’s OMAKASE event will continue through August 22nd on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings every other week, plus other dishes served throughout the week.  Your taste buds will thank you when you spoil them with a visit to Hiroshi to experience OMAKASE for yourself this summer!
