Hotel Mousai is thrilled to announce that Made in Mexico, an exuberant month-long celebration in honor of Mexico’s vibrant art, culture and traditions, is slated for its second year this September.  The main event will occur on the eve of September 16th to commemorate Mexico’s Independence Day, with a busy schedule of activities paying tribute to Mexico leading up to and after the splendid national holiday.

Fascinating Mexican Culture

Hotel Mousai’s guests will be invited to take part in this unique offering of activities which will bring awareness to the fascinating culture Mexico has to offer, including a Mexican expo featuring handmade products such as cheese, wine, crafts and fine art.  A roster of special guests will appear at the resort, including fashion designer Maria Rosario Mendoza who will present her Takasami label, and Valentín Garcia Magaña, a renowned studio potter visiting from Tonala, Jalisco who will be representing Artesanías Erandi, not to mention Mariachis, dancers and other performers paying tribute to the beloved traditions of Mexico.

Mexico is such a rich and varied culture, there is no end to celebrating its traditions,” asserts Eliezer Quiñones, Hotel Mousai’s General Manager, “I, for one, am really excited about sharing these experiences with our guests and members.”

Throughout the month of September, Made in Mexico will host a multitude of festivities designed to highlight Mexico’s culture, offering enticing Mexican dishes at the resort’s restaurants plus tequila tastings.  The calendar of affairs will be in full swing for guests during the week leading up to September 16th, when they will encounter an exhilarating celebration of Mexico’s independence from Spain (full program to be announced).

Made in Mexico is one of the highlights of the year,” proclaims Alejandro Ayala Cuevas, Activities Manager, adding, “my team and I are really excited about the events we will be organizing; it’s what makes the job so rewarding.”

The premiere edition of Made in Mexico last year included appearances by celebrity chef Carlos Gaytan of Chicago who wowed the diners at Blanca Blue restaurant with a tantalizing meal, and fashion designer Aline Moreno (recipient of the National Fashion Award in 2014) who put on a lively runway show featuring an edgy high fashion collection as the sounds of DJ JR.Cutz amplified the festive atmosphere.

Made in Mexico 2016 will provide an exhilarating chance for guests of Hotel Mousai to celebrate Mexican culture in Puerto Vallarta throughout September, with a whirlwind of activities to take place between September 12th and September 17th.
