Are you ready to give your taste buds the ride of their lives? Join us in Puerto Vallarta for the first month-long Japanese cuisine festival to take place on Banderas Bay: Omakase, a Chef’s table experience.  Some of the best sushi chefs from world-renowned restaurants will be joining Hiroshi restaurant at Hotel Mousai for a japa-licious event that extends throughout the month of June 2016.

Flavors that sizzle on the tongue

The culinary event will welcome sushi chefs from Katana, SUSHISAMBA, barMASA and Katsuya restaurants who will be contributing a different Omakase tasting menu each week to complement the a la carte menu. Open to guests staying at the hotel as well as local residents who want to taste the best sushi in Banderas Bay, the idea is that the renowned chefs will join us to prepare a voyage of flavors which will be served as a set menu on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at Hiroshi restaurant at Hotel Mousai. The tasting menus will be offered in addition to Hiroshi’s delicious menu, and chefs will also add a few signature dishes to the a la carte options.

Our Omakase Japanese culinary event will be complementing the June Wellness program that will run parallel at Hotel Mousai throughout June, offering guests the option to try the fare of a nation that is renowned for being one of the healthiest in the world and even officially recognized by the World Health Organisation as the country where statistically more people live to full health the longest.

So, who will be joining us?

Four top sushi chefs will be collaborating with Hiroshi restaurant to serve up a contemporary feast to tickle all the senses. We will be joined by Koji Matsuzaki from Katana and the Innovative Dining Group, John Um, Regional corporate sushi chef for SUSHISAMBA, Jags Aldaba, Head sushi chef at barMASA, Las Vegas and Brandon Konishi, Executive Chef of Katsuya at SLS Las Vegas. Hiroshi’s resident Chef, Carlos Leyva, will be on hand with his team to welcome the chefs and make your dining experience a smooth and delicious encounter with Japan.
