A Night of Fashion and Music at Hotel Mousai

Table of Contents

Forming an integral part of our grand patriotic event, Made in Mexico at Hotel Mousai, honoring art, fashion, cuisine and culture to commemorate Mexico’s Independence, last week welcomed award-winning fashion designer, Aline Moreno to launch our first Made in Mexico fashion show. Accompanying Moreno’s fashion collection, musician and DJ, Mariano J. Aguilera, best known by his stage name, JR. CUTZ, brought a breath of fresh contemporary music to our night of haute couture.

Mexican Haute Couture

Aline Moreno is one of the leading Mexican fashion designers in Mexico, with over 13 years dedicated to the art of haute couture. Having been part of a number of exclusive fashion weeks in Mexico as well as internationally in the USA, Costa Rica, Colombia and Peru, Hotel Mousai was proud to welcome Moreno to launch the first Made in Mexico fashion show at our AAA Five Diamond adults only hotel in Puerto Vallarta.

chef_fashionistaMoreno’s Wixárika Fall Collection 2015 /2016 was a great success among Hotel Mousai guests and invited local residents, showing the very best in terms of creative design, exquisite materials and passion for Mexico’s indigenous roots. The Wixárika Fall Collection weaves together influences from contemporary urban tendencies and the sacred art of the Wixárika tribes (commonly known as Huichol) who live in the states of Nayarit and Jalisco. With accessories by Miriam Ortega, the show was a celebration of femininity and authentic power, a chic tribute to Mexico’s rich cultural heritage.

Complementing the contemporary flavor of the fashion show, the music of JR. CUTZ marked the pulse of the catwalk as Mexican models showcased Moreno’s collection with his DJ set. Later, the young Mexican musician from Guadalajara accompanied Hotel Mousai’s resident DJ, Joaquin Estrada, with electric guitar solos that conversed with the latests club beats, for an incredible performance 367 feet above sea level at The Rooftop venue, with its 112-foot infinity edge pool.

During this patriotic month of September, Made in Mexico’s fashion show by Aline Moreno with music by JR. CUTZ was a great way to run up to Mexico’s Independence Day on September 16. Join us next year for Made in Mexico 2016.
