Casitas Maraika Beach Club

Table of Contents

Sometimes when we’re on vacation, what we really want to do is get away from the lively scenes and bustle of the tourist zones in order to find a secluded getaway for a day. While you are staying at Hotel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta, you might consider Casitas Maraika Beach Club on the southern Shore of Banderas Bay.

Casitas Maraika Beach Club on Puerto Vallarta’s South Shore

Casitas Maraika Beach Club is unique not only in that it is found in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains, but also in that it’s the only business in the immediate area. This means you won’t be fighting for a good spot on the gorgeous white sandy beach or in the clear blue waters; you can only reach Casitas Maraika by hiking through the jungle or by a boat trip. It’s well worth the trip, however, when you experience the fantastic service, frosty drinks, and spectacular food; this is the isolation and serenity is just the icing on the cake.

The journey to Casitas Maraika is half of the fun, though, so let’s look at the best ways to get there:

Hiking along a jungle path

The more active and adventurous tourists may want to soak up the sunshine and scenery whilst en-route to the Casitas Maraika Beach Club; this is very possible if you take the trail south from Boca de Tomatlan beach. Boca de Tomatlan is an easy bus or taxi ride from Hotel Mousai, too. The trail you will follow from the beach takes you through stunning countryside which features lush jungle, views of the clear, turquoise waters, and lovely local wildlife. This is a great way to make a day of it all, and that first margarita when you arrive is just so much better for the effort of getting to the club.

Charter a Luxury Yacht

If you have something specific to celebrate, or you just feel like treating yourself to a luxury day trip you can always consider chartering a private yacht for you and your family. The biggest benefits of this are the fact that you can set your own itinerary and route; you can make a day out of the experience, see some marine wildlife, swim, and when you do turn up you’ll look like a rock-star.

Water Taxi

The happy medium between these two options is hiring a water taxi to get you to Casitas Maraika; this will save you the effort of hiking in the heat of the day, and is less costly (by far) than hiring a yacht. These panga boats are cheap, quick, reliable, and safe, but they are no-frills transportation. Nonetheless they can be the best way to get about; you can find water taxis in Boca de Tomatlan and on Los Muertos Beach in Puerto Vallarta.
